Down the Rabbit Hole
An unframed thought, lurking
in the back of my mind,
Suddenly bursts forth.

It fractures and breaks into
A thousand white rabbits.

They scatter in every direction—
Each one a stray thought
demanding my attention.

I readily give chase.

How many lives can you live?
How many deaths can you die?
Two rabbits to the east.

My first kiss. My first lie.
Two rabbits to the west.

My first love. My first hate.
Two rabbits to the North.

I lose the rest,
I am spiraling into
Incoherency.
