I've caught a case of the feelings,
and this case is quite severe,
I only wish it were contagious,
so you would catch it when you came near.

For you to love me this much,
is all that I truly desire,
a love so huge and consuming,
it glitters like ice and burns like fire.

The words I choose are inadequate,
but really any words would be,
there aren't any at all that are deep enough,
In my entire vocabulary.

It can get so frustrating,
to have these feelings so intense,
and have no way of describing them,
in a way that makes any sense.

The feeling is so warm and fiery,
the temperature burns so high,
I'd bet that you can see my heart glow,
like a supernova in the sky.

But a love that burns so hot and intense,
brings with it a pain that is equally immense,
you cannot escape it, it fills your whole being,
until your chest aches and you have trouble breathing.

Yes it's a real and physical pain,
you hear your soul scream,
feel the longing in your veins.

You yearn and you ache,
and you hurt so very bad,
when you start to think you're dying,
you're really almost glad.

I never thought I could feel this way about a person,
I've never fallen to this level of immersion,
I've dated and I've loved before,
but never experienced this version.

I can only hope I don't end up broken,
left shattered and ruined on the floor,
I know it's foolish to take such a chance,
but I've never felt like this before.
