A Bonded Pawn
It had been silent for a while,
the cries had stopped,
the devils in your head,
had gone for a walk.

You thought it was the end,
the turmoil had left you,
it was the silence before the storm,
there was still time for your breakthrough.

The world was crumbling again,
old tears erupted unbidden,
the devils who had left you,
were disrupting the peace within.

You realised it was a cycle,
a vicious one that consumed you,
the only way out of this,
was to trust yourself through and through.

Only you could break the karma,
pull yourself out of the abyss,
the devils didn't hold a candle,
you are the power, the destiny's tryst.

All you needed to win,
was wait till the storm was gone,
your faith in self was enough,
to make your fate a bonded pawn.
