The road is long.
The further we go the worst it gets.
There is a solid sheet of ice on the road now.
Can we make it?
We were going slow but there were maniacs streaking passed.
Grandma in second gear trying not to kill us.
She'd had three accidents the whole trip, most were earlier that day.
Then suddenly the world is in motion and just as sudden it stopped.
The Uhal truck was face on coming lights of cars coming over the hill and the Uhal trailer, with grammys car on it, down in the ditch.
We were making the capital letter L at the beginning.
A car had slid on the ice and hit a pole in the ditch ahead of us, shortly after we'd called on the walkies to mum and dad that we'd fish tailed and we needed help.
Then another car handling the ice as though it weren't there.
They came to see if we all were ok.
Grammy's nerves had to be shot she wasn't thinking right nor was the rest of us in the Uhal she told us to get out before we got hit.
When we did i went to the trailer to check on the dogs contained inside the car on it.
Thats when Grammy cried "RUN".
I turned around and all I saw was light.
I was bathed in light and I couldn't move even if I'd tried.
Next minute I'm in agony screaming to The Lord Jesus for help.
My legs were the only things that hurt.
I couldn't move my left foot.
Then there was the screams coming from daddy.
He cried and screamed about my legs.
I was told he almost broke his hand trying to brake into Grammy's car to get some blankets to cover me up with.
"Shes going to bleed to death," I heard someone say it I think it was daddy.
My legs started to feel numb.
I started screaming to daddy that they were beginning to go numb and he told me in the calmest voice he could muster at the time.
People were coming from out of no were, the type of people we wanted to see.
One was an of duty E.M.T. and his wife.
She was praying over me while he put blankets on me.
The guy named Tie came from the same source as the other two and for the same purpose, to help.
His way to help was to talk to me, asking me questions that would make me think keeping me awake.
There were other people but I don't know who or what they were doing to contribute.
I didn't care at that point.
I didn't care about anything but my daddy franticly trying to get things done, the fact that mom was upset, and the way Grammy kept saying, "Oh, my God....."
The paramedics came they took the warm blankets off me heaved me onto a flat board then got me on a stretcher and into the ambulance.
Cutting off my clothes to better tend to the wounds.
Cleaning me up they calculated how bad the damaged was.
I'm a little fuzzy on what happened at the hospital.
I remember my parents coming after a while.
The people there talking to me as though i were three again.
My jewelry being taken that didn't matter at lest until they found my necklace.
One of the guys said, "we'll have to cut it off."
I jump up like nothings wrong and try to get the necklace off my self.
Then one of the women there came up pulled my hands down and told the guy.
"Its a girl thing don't mess with it"
When they thought i wouldn't go into shock they let me go to sleep .
Then finishing working to save my life.

(The tail of what happened to me between October 31- November 3, 2003 as best I remember it which aint to well.... Sorry.)
