What will...
As a student of architecture,
A lot of things bothers my mind.
As mankind now enters the post-Covid 19 era,
What will the look of our future structures be?
How'll this pandemic modify the way humans interact with space and one another?

It was announced and showed on the news,
We're able to create newer hospitals in just days and weeks.
Hence upon hearing this, I began to wonder,
What will then our healthcare spaces look like in next years?

As usual, face to face classes is the education normal,
But as the virus, in our surrounding, continues to lurk,
Will remote learning then become the new normal?
If so, what will now happen to our existing design of classrooms?

Home is where we always come back to.
It's where we stay and take a rest.
But with the disease's continuous attack,
What will now change on our way of living?
Will home life then become an increasingly atomized experience?

Work. Work is essential on anyone's behalf.
It is how we get to earn for our living to continue surviving.
But with the virus out there,
What will the future of our work and business be?
What will the tomorrow look of our workspaces be?

On Infrastructure and public realm.
How will we now move safely through the city?
Will our parks and squares then reflect our new-found fresh air?
Or will there be an addition on bridges and pathways in accomodation to people's need?
What will then our future settlement look like in the next few years?

Window shopping. Did covid 19 killed the strength of window buying?
And instead, increase the power of online shopping?
If so, what will now happen to our existing malls and stores?
Would they just end up getting demolished and silently vanish?
Where do you go now to try before you buy?

As I, an architect to be,
These are some of the questions that keeps running on my mind.
As special problems such as this continue to arise,
Designs and innovations tries to keep up.
Leaving to us, the designers and builders of our living, a great challenge that we shall abide.
