living colors
When I think of my race I see black, not of my skin color but blood.
I descend from the generation of which my present was built on their back,
from slavery to apartheid fearless of death,
so that we can live to complete our story as one.

I am a living color that brightens injustice
My story is not of victory but hope
hope that reminds a dark girl to be black even when the lights are against.

Your story isnt new, we know the shades of your pain
we understand why your past is hidden behind that paint
but we reasonate with the rainbow colors ahead free of hate.

Reading and sharing anchors our identity
as living for one another embraces our human dignity
we have a living color in our fight for human rights for it is a fight for all races
we have a living color in our fight against women and children abuse for it is no longer a battle against a hopeless family but a war against our international pride.

There are living colors in the untold stories of our heros and heroens
from past to present the message of the oneness of our people is the vehicle that capacitate our stories with forgiveness
lets the living colors in them take us through the present
from the past with magnification
to the future with glorification.

For the spectrum of our narratives
Connects Us as Nations.
