Young Black Men
I can't fathom why people judge someone, based on their race
Especially us, young black men
Men who are yet to bloom, but are growing daily
Learning, witnessing life's growth
Trying to understand the complexities of the world
Ideas that could have possibly flourished without hindrance
Until we were placed in predicaments that prevent them from materializing
Robbing, stealing, hijacking, and killing
Accused of such crimes we never involved in
But end up getting caught and crucified by the media
Disregarding the hardship we were born in to
Calling us names, neglecting our mental and physical health
But how can you fault a young black man, if the government is to blame?
