With everything that life has to offer,
There's so much to be enjoyed,
But the pleasures of sleeplessness I suffer,
Is the one I cannot avoid.
the dreams are too wild
and the nightmares have me by the throat
my demon watches me struggle
terrified of what is
the lack of sleep
letting my brain wonder again
the feeling of falling
almost gave me a stroke
the dark abyss that is my imagination
will run around and play
while my soul is bound and gagged
the fun never ends
nocturnal nightmares arise
just when I close my eyes
