Reluctance of life
The muffled footsteps echo,
Dragging my weary soul.
I hesitate, a reluctant dance,
In the melodrama of existence.

I long for the vibrant whispers,
Of dreams yet to awaken,
Yet my steps falter,
In the shadows of doubt.

But life insists on blooming,
Its colors like thorny petals,
Unfurling in reluctant splendor,
Against my hesitant heart.

I yearn to wander free,
Yet chains of fear bind me.
Their weight, a heavy burden,
On my spirit's tender wings.

The sun coyly peeks,
Through a cloud's hesitant embrace,
Its warmth invites me forward,
But I remain rooted in hesitation.

Oh, the dance of hesitation!
A symphony of half-steps,
And stuttered pauses,
In this reluctant waltz called life.

But still, I seek solace,
In whispered verses and painted lines,
For within them lies liberation,
From the reluctant grip of existence.
