Oh mirror, mirror on the wall
#WritcoPoemPrompt53
A silver mirror kept in my room,
showcasing everything in an impartial way,
It lits everything with it's silver gloom,
when it gets hit by the golden sunray...

It felt as though it was just yesterday
awoke the little old me in a nightmare so dreary
a crown on the head, a frown on the face for display
The silver uttered, my queen, be not weary.

Will collapsed, fear reigned,
After all, in twenty-first century, mute was the mirror.
Was I right to fix the puzzle that explained
Evil Queen, I was she and the two could be no nearer.

Locked in my room, hours ticked off, as did days
The mirror helped little, muttering on the fairest of all
As fair as the snow, as clear as the white, and cliches
I seek naught, dear mirror on the wall.

Whispers are worthless, this time I'll turn the lore
Blood soaken hands, I crave not, neither the bad name
Snow White, if that's the true name you adore
The crown and the throne is for you to reclaim.

I listen not to you, mirror on the wall
The skills to bewitch and entrall, interest me least
Today I am the seer, lead me not to utter downfall
To drive a poor girl in the forest, am ain't a beast.

Turned a new leaf for the Evil Queen
Must I matchmake Snow and Prince Charming
Will the girl meet the drawfs, do I intervene
Dear mirror on the wall, help rather than harming.

Reflect the golden, gleam the shimmering silver
Dark rooms, no more, just windows and a vast hall
A dance with me, princess, later with the admirer
That's all, oh, mirror, mirror, on the wall!
