Love is God and God is Love.
Though i am not the most religious,
i do believe if there was one true religion, it would be Love,
The one thing we keep searching for and believing in,
Even after losing faith in people who
once came guised as its oracles.
Even when hurt and broken,
we keep limping back to kneel at it's altar,
To offer ourselves as human sacrifice to
the one true King to which all knees bend.
Surely Love is God and God is Love,
And even scripture tells us so.
Love is divine,
how else can we explain the torture
we go through and still choose to seek its face?
Through thorny paths we walk,
And poisonous waters we wade,
As we yearn to bask in its heavenly glory,
For Love is God and God is Love.
