I have always admired trees,
so alone and lonely,
yet beautiful and lively.

They always stand alone,
though surrounded by many,
but never with their crowns down.

They stand alone without any weapons to protect,
but strong and full of courage in every storm and hail,
never to give in.

Yet so peaceful,
so serene,
as if they were saints freed from all sorrows and pains.
