HATE
Hatred, a flame that burns so bright,
Fueled by passion, a curious sight.
For to hate someone, one must first love,
To feel so deeply, sent from above.

The heart beats fast, the soul feels pain,
A bond so strong, yet twisted in vain.
Love turns to hate, a dangerous game,
A thin line crossed, a burning flame.

You see, to hate someone, you must first care,
To feel their presence, to know they're there.
Love and hate, two sides of the same coin,
Tangled emotions, a heart in turmoil's join.

So let us not confuse hatred with disdain,
For to hate someone, one must first love in vain.
And though it may seem strange, it's true,
To hate someone, you must first love them, too.
