The Choir
Like symbols on a drum,
the rain taps the leaves
creating a steady rhythm
as the thunder stomps its feet.
The wind conducts the choir
with the branches from the trees,
queuing when the lightning
should strike the violin's strings.
The climax starts to arise
as the wind blows heavily,
and the lightning takes its solo
with a violin symphony.
The thunder gives one last stomp
before the music fades completely,
as the wind calms the chorus
with a soft, gentle breeze.
