Grief and beyond
Grief fell like hail storm
On her pristine mind
She tried to recover
Stand tall and life was kind

She moved places, miles above
People and situations that hurt her
Attacked her dignity , health
She lost her unborn baby one night

Grief fell like rain drops
On a parched desert sand dune
As it melted away all barricades
Restraints and stand outs

The baby for whom she longed
When everything was gone
Did not get a chance in life
For by then her own health was gone

Yet the ones who harmed them both ..
Roamed free and planned new babies
With new partners, gladly escaping ..
From any grief of that little one

She held her little perfect silent form
In her arms and felt grief's
Most powerful storm
Rage in her howling soul

It took years but she destroyed them
Piece by piece , brick by brick
Each material they held dear
She attacked it with ease

For she was who knew them best
Knew their weaknesses
And their strength too
In stealth mode, she knew how to

Her friend hugged her to heart
Said "Let go of revenge and go above
Your baby will not come back
You have taught them lessons enough .."

At dawn when hail storm
Was none , fell dew drops.
Of memories , sprinkling shine
Softly she paused to remember

The small knitted gloves
The first sonogram and kick
The gentle conversations
Her lovely movements with music

And she raged at the politics
In that home, less food, less care
Shoves and pushes, she endured
With a belief her baby needed a family

The dew drops evaporated with day light
To appear again next morning
In her raging mother's heart
She found no peace to forgive

So it continues till today
She chases them to corner
To death, by simply eroding
Every material possession they possessed

Now days and weeks
Will not see her still
Frantically readying her home ..
For a baby is coming on

Born of another unacknowledged
Left at a local religious place
She heard one day to seek solace
In a beautiful responsibility

"So next week!", her friend said ..
She smiled, cried and decorated
"Welcome home my second child"
Dew drops sparkled and soothed..
