Rose on a tomb 🌹
Everything has changed said her grave
I was a great woman
Loved by many and respected by all
Or so I thought...
Great women and men dined at my table
Danced and sang with me
I was part of them as they were part of me
The textures of their smiles painted every wall of my gigantic home
My table was long and invited all who sang my praises....
Like bouquets of flowers their perfume filled my closets...
Everything has changed cries my grave
For now non of them visits me
Or place a note on my tomb
They now know I was a vein woman who fed on people's poverty for recognition...
Consumed by fame
I thought everyone was a friend
And today
My grave weeps
It weeps
Cos it's lonely...
And has no rose on it...
