A stirring is felt from inside as searching eyes meet,
between two people passing along a crowded street.
At first ignored thought to be something in the air,
which caused an unnatural reaction erasing despair.

Forgotten like a dream until another chance meeting,
in a different place though time not quite so fleeting.
As smiles are exchanged and first connection formed,
with cold hearts beginning to be thawed and warmed.
