A life full of irony...
I lived by the nursery
Yet forget to enjoy the fragrance
Of blooming dahlias and tulips
that grew there in abundance
I lived by the nursery
A life full of irony.

Cuckoos singing all through the day
trying to enchant me
to harmonize and resonate
Amidst this dystopian cacophony

After a night that relished the rain
The petrichor that outspread
scenting my room completely
Yet I worked on trivial issues stead.

I gazed at the artistic still
that hung by the window pane
of a scenery depicting the orchids,
while flowers outside still called my name.

I lived by the nursery
A life full of irony.

The poet once filled with curiosity
carved this poem with utmost clarity
While roses in his garden bloomed
Oblivious he pretended still to be.
A life full of irony.
A life full of irony.
