Welcome back liar
When you walked out of my life the wound began to heal.
Time heals all wounds they say. So I waited.
Skin scarring over emotions I watched it seal.
My passion and love locked behind breathes that were baited.

Ten years on you return on a whim.
Your life falling apart around you. The familiar crutch of my love.
Your eyes don't shine the same now glowing dim.
Our romance no longer fitting like a comfortable old glove.

Ten years after you broke me I feel nothing as you whisper "babe".
Ten years on the tables have turned.
I had not divined this on my all knowing astrolabe.
You never knew how I yearned.

You were once the apple of my eye and fire for all desire.
Upon return you're nothing but second best.
Welcome back to my life you liar.
This time we play my game and I shall reel with zest.
