Hues
At the edge of the furthest mountain,
Between the valley and the lazy river,
Beyond the edge of the scented meadow,
I can see the hues painted by the setting sun...
That's where we first met.
I captured your smile by my lens
Oh! Our good old college days
When we smiled at one another
We embraced one another,
You found shelter in my arms
I found peace on a thudding heart.
That day, my shadow had another sweet shadow,
It felt it got someone like him, for him.
The sun was setting then, the hues painting the grass
Washing your deep eyes, showering togetherness from the limitless distance.
But I lost you,
You left me all alone,
Maybe my love wasn't enough to hold you back from the illness
You succumbed to your pain, I know I couldn't rest anymore on that thudding heart
As now, it is just silent, numb.
Today, at the edge of the furthest mountain,
Between the valley and the lazy river,
Below the edge of the scented meadow,
I see the hues painted by the setting sun.
Today I don't have your shadow.
It's just me, the sun but the us is not met,
You live in my heart, still sheltered, but somewhere it's not us anymore.
