you made me laugh
so early in the morning,
when I watched you cook-
turkey bacon & maybe eggs.
I can’t remember now. I do
remember the way you’d
come up to the screen and tell me you love me. & that I was
your beautiful girlfriend.
Days felt like yellows & golds
& sometimes the deepest blues
of the ocean when the distance
would remind us of space
we’d keep. Your goodbye of
I miss you would remind me of
grey unknown & loss.
