The Dreamer Stops Dreaming
╥﹏╥
Staring into the still water
That looked so lively once,
he finds his dreams shatter,
Disembarking from his decrepit soul.

The stars twinkle now not,
For fear if they ignite in a flare
May shred his body to fragments,
Leaving it to steadily rot.

Parchments of hopeless thoughts
Entangled in a messy knot,
Beside the bed, which then beheld ambitions and aims
Once made the dreamless dream.

Trying in vain, not excelling still
Yet accomplishing success as minute embellish,
Known to be invalid now
With no caring ears to listen.

With Friendship in praise and insult,
Deeper grew his bond with the latter.
As departure of efforts commenced,
He grew lonlier and anxious.

Now he stood-
vertically below water,
Contemplating decisions of painful life,
Figuring out --how hard will it hurt
If he jumps in there-
Striking at the rude boulder?

For now the dreamer is dreamless
With undiscovered pieces of inspiration,
Went downhill like a melting glacier
Into the despairing depths of the crude ocean.
