Pet
I wish I could just forget
But I'm just so full of harsh regret.
I first thought that I was set,
But no sooner I would bet.
And yet there's far too much that I don't get.
Because to you I'm one more pet.
I think the thought I wouldn't let if
They proved not govern my perspective.
Now they impede everyday my life
To cut them out there is no knife.
I forget the day that I was born,
But I can't forget though why I mourn.
Because when I leave I won't be missed
I'll be forgotten in a list.
I'm just a name don't reminisce
Every I time you were distressed.
Have you've forgotten I've cleaned your every mess?
That I stood by you nonetheless?
I'd never leave nor lie but I'd take your pest
And promise I'd always give you rest.
And yet you decline my every request,
Yet I'd watch over from my nest.
And when this pet decides to leave,
You'll only notice my unkempt deeds
