Vane Love
#WritcoPoemPrompt70
I found you,
and loved you,
and wanted to be so true,
but I didn't really know what true love is
Then, the next day
I forgot you,
as I was too young
and you were far away
Occasionally there were hints of you,
slowly, increasingly as I grew,
and then much later on
But our paths never
really crossed, again
that's why love couldn't win
we just didn't have enough in common
I noticed you
and saw through and through
your good side,
and saw you're still lovable
However I glimpsed another side
and though I tried
to see things all positively with no wait
I had to notice hate,
Though it made no sense
it was an ill fate
to see that surely others
spoke of me as of late
in ill ways that I don't deserve
As others cheer you on
I myself must go on
I do not...
I found you,

and wanted to be so true,
but I didn't really know what true love is
