I could have done so many things today:
I could have taken a long walk
I could have painted a picture.
I could have practiced a piece of music
I could have done something productive.

Instead, I stopped to watch birds feed

And I watched a large fly buzz around the Venus flytrap.
It took too long to make its mistake, so I smacked it with a towel
Then precisely placed its body in the leafy jaws

And I separated shoots of snake plant
So they can propagate within my walls

And I wrote about the things I could’ve done.
