Suddenly the world turned so dark

I had my ups and downs
I was nursed back to health
Drug and prescriptions
You'd think I ran some drug store
We met again
Sort of like in those movie scenes
You know the ones where girl meets boy

The first words that came from you broke me
Shattered my heart further
After so long
No words, no explanation
All you had to say was sorry
You promised you'd be there
You promised you'd stay
You promised it was till eternity
You said you'd stay
You knew you were my permanent
And you just left

10 years ago I would have run back with arms spread wide open
But now I can't even seem to care that you exist
