Waiting
People often say “be patient”,
“Just wait”, as if waiting is impeccable
That all its effects and the standstill time you live in is pernicious,
Surface burns but no scars
They say it as if waiting on the perfect anagnorisis
Is like basic life things.
But I’ve been waiting, pigs have grown wings and rats are talking
They don’t tell you that time enervates and when you excogitate to wait,
prepare to obfuscate the things in your life unwillingly and you can’t repudiate,
In the end all the time you spent on waiting isn’t proficuous
Because by then all the time you stood waiting, the very thing you were waiting on changes and your left behind time.
So don’t squirrel away time, waiting
Live in it, say and do what you need to
Even when it’s wrong place if it’s the right time
And right place wrong time,
But if it’s your predilection to wait
Over and over as you don’t get to live life and it gets colder and colder
Don’t cry, leave your eyes dry while you’re subzero and not getting any older
