Why have we let go of our Culture and Heritage?
A Culture rich and beautiful,
A culture that identifies us,
A culture that sets us apart from the rest.
Talk about our 'Bragro' and 'Dipo',
A beautiful rite that ushers a girl child from teenage to adulthood.
Talk about our festivals,
The 'Odwira, the 'Hogbetsotso', the 'Homowo', the 'Asafotofiam' among others,
Which tells our migration stories and heritage.
Our dances,
The 'Kete', ' Adowa', the 'Kpanlogo', the 'Apadampa', the 'Gome' and many more.
To top it all,
Are our beautiful adornments,
And rich foods.
Talk of the 'Eto', 'Gobe', 'Kenkey and Shito'.
Just look at me adorned in my beautiful traditional outfit,
A defination of my origin.
