Ignorance: “Lack of knowledge or information.”
And if ignorance is bliss
And knowledge is power
Then power must be depression

But what is it when you start a life with a lack of knowledge because of a false belief?
Filled with years of hate because of an awfully deluded mind
And when you change you try to leave that life behind
As a new better refined person
As a person you can somewhat appreciate
But your problems don’t seem to alleviate

The progress you seemed to have made
Starts to seem like a masquerade
Like a sham
As you lie in bed and say “Damn.”
Because ignorance was better than facing the facts

I tried to bury that time
I stopped doing the things that cured me
And I felt overly trapped
This state of mind wasn’t mapped
I had no sense of direction
I had a moral compass and somewhere along the way I lost the magnet
And my actions became stagnant

So I started a life as a wannabe artist
Live a life where I’d do nothing but write
