My Love
There stands, my Love-
Waiting patiently at the end of the aisle.
Love shimmers from his golden orbs,
Similar to my adorned golden jewels.

Joy fills the air,
Announcing that the bride is here.
Walking down the long red carpet,
I count the hours that we have been parted.

My feet will me to move in a haste,
But my mind reminds me of grace.
Slowly striding I scan the view,
The crowds are standing and starring in awe.

A few more steps before I say I do,
My heart skips a beat with every step I take.
My nerves start to create a lake,
Making my stomach start to ache.

Up the stairs we go,
My hands feeling numb and damp.
I look up at my love,
A soft smile laces his lips-
Before he mouths- 'I love you.'

My nerves are gone in a second,
His words a cure to my once nervous being.
One look at him,
I remember by a whim.
I am his and he is mine.

My love,
The owner of my heart.
I can't wait 'till I say I do.
Then we can say, I love you.
We'll seal it with a kiss,
That I most definitely miss.
