Saint Peter stood at the gates of Heaven
Checking everyone in
With just one question he had to ask
Have you ever committed a sin?
One man stood, head bowed down
In sorrow for his shame
As Saint Peter placed his gentle hand
To take away his pain.
The heavenly gate began to close
To the silent man outside
Saint Peter knelt and whispered so
As God stood by his side.
Saint peter welcomes everyone
That enters through thy gate
Where God so sits upon his throne
To determine what is your fate.
The heavens are of light and colour
Of flowing rivers, and fields of green.
Where Angels play and fly away
To guide you from your dream.
A man walks slowly by God's side
Through the sounds of children playing
Where the sun danced, and the moon sang
To the Angels that were praying.
