Tomorrow is my birthday,

I’m stuck between celebrating or moping all day,

Society makes me feel like I’m not doing well enough for my age,

Society makes me feel like I’m a failure, I feel like I’m locked in a cage,

I used to love my birthday,

But now all I feel is the dread of aging and things that I have not accomplished staring me in the face,

Tomorrow is my birthday,

Yet still I’m stuck between celebrating or moping all day,

I’m stuck feeling the birthday blues.
