Here comes a feathery wind
with a scent of such a flowery siren
Here hears a melancholy of a sinned
mother with a body with no one to environ..

Remaking the circle
The circle of this flourished nature
Curtailing the miracle
The miracle of this human creature...

Rising the senseless bodies with their tantrum
In uniforms , they want the presence of God
Making us forsaken this cuckoo sings her anthem
So we kneel before nature who is now the Lord...

Now an importance to this queen standing in every centrum
Forgetting tons of members that one dies everyday
but not with this system of this symptom
that burns this mankind to decay one day....

The poem is about the virus Covid 19 and there is a contrast between how nature flourishes and how the miracle of human creature dies.Plus the virus started spreading in Sri Lanka in April -the month in which we celebrate the new year and to symbolize that there is a cuckoo bird as well...The last stanza convinces the way people started mourning only over the deaths of infected people while there is a number of patients who die because of other diseases everyday. So lets hope the world to be cured again and people to have strength to fight against the pandemic🙇‍♀️Hope you enjoy and get the real meaning of the poem...Thank you!!
