Where My Heart Resides

Mothers Day is here, a special holiday
That comes year after year
Some are happy and some are sad
They have memories and shed many tears!

To be here without your son or daughter
Never hearing them say, I love you again
Is a heartache that doesn't go away
Since the moment that it began!

Gifts of cards and flowers
That your child gave to you
Always brought a smile to your face
Its something they wanted to do!

This is the second Mothers Day for me
Getting through it without my son
Sometimes I wish he was right here
Laughing and having some fun!

But I know that he is peaceful
Better than I've ever known before
I know I'll visit him in Heaven
As I walk right through that door!

There will always be a special place
Tucked safely on the inside
And the memories I'll always cherish
Where my heart resides!
