Down The Rabbit Hole
Free falling,
darkness surrounds me.

Ghosts of the past,
fear of the future
clasping with icy hands,
dragging me deeper
into the black hole

Caught in a giant web,
fighting to free myself
from the tormented thoughts
winding me up in spider silk,
tighter than iron bands.

The Black Widow of defeat
watches, creeping closer
as I weaken.

Venom that paralyzes
the mind and body awaits.

"Would you tell me please,
which way I ought to go from here?"

"That depends a good deal
on where you want to get to."

"I don't much care where."

"Then it doesn't matter
which way you go."
