Just one bite
Glistening moonlight paints the night,
In shadows cast, a tempting sight.
A forbidden fruit, a tempting lure,
Whispers in the dark, words unsure.

Just one bite,it softly sings,
Promising joy on feathered wings.
The apple red, so alluringly bright,
A tantalizing taste, an exquisite delight.

Yet caution whispers in my ear,
A voice of reason, full of fear.
For with this bite, what will I gain?
An ephemeral pleasure, fleeting and vain?

Temptation dances, a waltz in my mind
But wisdom cautions, a gentle reminder to find.
In this decision lies the power within,
To choose the path, avoid the sin.

So I step back, resisting the allure,
Knowing that there is strength to endure.
For one bite may bring temporary bliss,
But true fulfillment is found in self-kissed.

In self-love's embrace, I find solace and peace,
A love that will never falter or cease.
So I walk away, from the apple so sweet,
Choosing the path where self-love and contentment meet.

Just one bite,the whispers fade,
As I walk the path that self-love made.
For in my heart, I hold the key,
To happiness, fulfillment, and being free.
