Delusions of grandeur

Of pain, sorrow and guilt
Guilt that perhaps l sang the wrong key
And l ought to transpose
For peace and probably the long lost happiness.

Oh happiness, l know not anymore.
Tears, they don't pour anymore.
They have long dried up,
Sleepless nights and a weeping heart.

You ceased being my refuge,
When you allowed
Your dear escapades
Into our home and clung on to them.
You wouldn't let go.

I hold you in reverence,
While you denigrate me
To nothing but a mere pawn .
My beloved King lm devoted to you.

I your dear subject
Bearing your cup of wine up high.
Laying at your feet,
As you spit venom
Im enamoured by you.

Can l turn back time?
Redirect the sands of life?
And be enchanted by life once more
Be driven by the flame your eyes once shown.
How l wish l could!

I long for a whole new World.
