More
The more I try to forget
The more I want to stay.
Not because of who you are,
But because of what I've been.
Clearly, too many hours have passed
Before you decided to come back,
Little did you know how far
The distance we tried to hide.
It's not my place to question why
Nor answer my own inquisition;
But don't you think, maybe, for once,
It's finally your turn to pause and listen.
That the more we try to forget
And the more we want to resist,
The harder it is to remember us,
What we have and what we miss.
