She always thought of many things
But on days like today
When things didn't really go her way
She thought of her first kiss
"Oh it was all quite amiss"
She smiled
Wondering if it was worth it's while
It's not like she could just
File a complaint
Or anything
"It wasn't like how I'd thought it'd be,
The world didn't disappear to just him and me
It was imperfect
Totally sudden
I was young and dumb
And totally frightened"
She always thought her first kiss would be special
It was something you couldn't just take back
It'd stay forever in the back of her mind
Along with the rest of the things she's unwilling to unpack
"Truth is, first kisses don't mean much,"
She sighed
"I guess first kisses are just like first loves
It's only one of many,
you'll find more because there's always plenty."
