Tarry not towards the end,
Await and appreciate,
As you are now,
Your sorrow and your joy.
For you know not when,
The fountains shall be stopped,
Is it not better to apply a little discretion,
Than to be lost at the end?
The race has barely begun,
When you realise that,
You took a part with the foolish virgins,
Whose lamps were drier than dust,
In Ziph desert.
Your portion lay with kings,
But like the prodigal son,
You chose to bandy with the profligate,
Exhausting surplus swiftly.
Your way was illumined before you yet,
You chose to sit with the unseeing,
Confering to no avail,
Be not in haste to the finish line,
For it is yet wise to relish the process.
