A place of mysteries,
a place in the dark.

My eyes filled with tears,
but those tears my eyes can't see

My heart pours out,
the only tears visible to me

I open my eyes
to a faint shadow that hovers above

I see things in my head,
visions and illusions

I see things like no one does,
everything is a blur

I can only hear voices,
ones belonging to mom and dad.

I'm welcomed into the world,
a place in the dark

My eyes don't work,
they didn't since I was born

But I'm finally born,
alive and well

I'm welcomed in a place of mysteries,
a place in the dark
