It's raining tonight
I despise it
I envy it
it never rains; here
why tonight?
this town is barren
thirsty people, boiling blood
malnourished children
drunk adults.
who called for it tonight,
who hates me more than life?
is it the girl I never called back
or my pals cursed me
to dry to death?
I don't know
but it rains heavily tonight
it's raining but not inside
the town gets to sleep tonight
I'll close my eyes too
because it's raining outside.
on the surface I'm alive
there's life everywhere tonight
everywhere light but not inside.
