He leaves his family behind.
Not so sure whether would he survive.
Tears are streeming down his cheeks.
As he sees his children weep.

The hardest desicion he thinks he has ever made.
He sulks in dismay.
He tries to build up his confidence.
He marches forward in the mind of conscience.

He saves numerous lives.
But who thinks of his children or his wife?
He’s ready to die.
Not a moment he waits to utter the words “Good Bye”!

He does know the word “love”.
But he must keep his owe.
He can only read his loved ones letters.
His life is worser than a beggar.

He fights for the peace of his country.
He also accepts victory humbly.
An invisible arrow is still struck to his heart.
His loved ones are apart.

Unable even to send his children birthday gifts.
On the day, he’s battling on the cliff.
He can’t enjoy his dinner.
He must preserve his family honour.

The only consolation he is happy about is the words he read.
But deep down inside, he dreads.
He reads twice nor thrice but
many a time.
He regrets leaving his kids who he adore.

He read it for the very last time before his bed.
Memories are buzzing inside his head.
The words are his only treasure.
Wonders whether would he be in presence to read another.
