Pink glasses
oh honey, my dear,
I’ve fallen out of our love, I fear.
Though the stars still shine,
and the moon still sways the world goodnight,
all I see are the tears,
raindrops falling from the sky, from upstairs
of the dark gray clouds
as the sun starts crying out loud.

My little butterfly, I can’t follow you up high,
those wings of mine, that used to fly,
can’t lift me off the ground no more,
but swallow me into earth, into its core
until I’m dissapeared.
That’s all I had feared,
and now? it’s happened, my pink glasses,
they melted and burned into ashes.

don’t worry, though,
you’ll find your soulmate, I know.
I’ll be waiting for my love to return;
I’ll try to keep my glasses from buring,
but please don’t wait for me,
don’t let me be the only on you see.
I won’t stop you from falling into someone new,
& I won’t run away, but I won’t chase after you.
