On this cold night
I hear the rain
Showering upon my wooden patio
A sound that guides my frustrated mind
Into a peaceful moment of joy
A release
Something lives in these crying clouds
Something soothing
Maybe these are tears
From the ones we've lost
Still watching over us
Bound to never touch again
But still finding a way
To wash away our tears
And ground us to the earth
