this little blue pot

an ordinary tea
pleasing the scent

spouting upward
those smells that
somehow curl

perfuming the
kitchen

where kitten
sits silent

on the cool
countertop

except the low
pretty purr
and the flick
of her tail

silence and steam
and the scent
of lemon and poleo.
