Arrows of Words
Words can be like arrows, piercing and sharp
They can cut deep, leaving wounds that smart
They can break a heart, causing endless pain
Leaving scars that can never be regained
Sometimes we speak without thinking, not realizing the harm
The words that we say, can do serious alarm
We must be careful when speaking, to choose wisely our words
For they can either heal or be like daggers that hurt
So let us be mindful, of the power of our tongue
For words can either bring joy or they can be harmful and young
Let us speak with love, and let our words be kind
For a heart once broken, may never fully rewind
So let us be cautious, when we speak and express
For words can either bring happiness or great distress
Let us choose our words carefully, and let them be sweet
For a heart broken by words, may never again be complete.
