Danger be Damned
I’m scared to touch you
For If my Midas touch turns you to dust
All my memories of golden pleated youth
Won’t be of use
To soothe me in the after
Yet, despite the ruin I threaten
You posses all sense I lay claim to
My pride fits between interlaced fingers
I forget myself in lips meeting hips
Dangerous the lushness under fingertips
Whispering to me all the wrong things
My hand forgets to reach for the door
As I hope i’ll be yours forevermore
