True, Love
Love is a cruel mistress they say. I know it to be so, because I felt her razor-like claws as barbed wire down my back scarring me in places I can't see. But I know she holds no prisoners and changes like the weather in her intensity.

Who hasn't been hurt by loves cruelty or felt the pain as much as her heady delights? Could it be she isn't "one size fits all"? Indeed she's many garments some of which suits us and a few that don't, but until we try them on we can't make a judgement call.

Most times we sense what suits us, repulsed by colour, size, flexibility or style. Oft times we may try for a while, a combination style...not us...and run a mile. But ultimately we're always looking for a good enough fit that feels comfortable, trying our best not to be in denial.

Love shows us the ugly side of ourselves and the best. We don't just want to look and feel beautiful, but wish to help others bring out their good sides too. Love can be as intensely memorable in just the briefest connection, and other times the deepest ties take time to grow on you.

But for all her faults, love is a waiting game, and eventually it finds a place in your heart. Perhaps it's in ways and forms you never believed could be, until one day in your honest way it'll start. Growing, spreading and yielding fruit, for when you dig down to the root, you'll see she is a lace-like pattern, a spider's web of connections that have you caught.

Don't try to escape or deny it, for even if you fought.... you'll never escape her clutches if that love is true.
