HOME SWEET HOME
I was ambling through the meadows,
Basking in the sense of freedom,
Concious of all my senses
And rejoicing in my own little kingdom.
Taking in the dazzling view I had in front of my very own eyes,
The sun was rising with its usual elegant decorum.
A flock of colorful birds
Flying carelessly without aim.
It amazed me how peaceful seemed those creatures,
Knowing no danger would come to them.
I admired the graceful flowers,
Blooming with their regular charm.
The tree leaves,
Glistening with the sunbeam,
Moving softly with the caress
Of a breeze that appeared out of a whim.
The lovely cottages,
With even lovelier people living inside them.

The thought of staying forever on those fields
Made my face glow with delirium,
But deep down, I knew those were nothing but illusions.
But at the same time, I just couldn't fathom
That that little bubble to which I'd given form
With my consistent endeavors,
Could burst without any previous inform.
But of course, when I looked up to the skies,
I already felt that refuge of mine facing its inevitable doom.
The wind's blows were no longer gentle ones,
What once were misty rose clouds were now dim,
Gloomy figures that were turning into greyish hues.
A forceful hurricane started to loom,
Threatening to ambush my calmness,
Making me realize I lived in no utopianism
And what I had been considering my fortress,
Was nothing but a stream
Of vast emptiness...
